Syukur alhamdulillah for all the things.

Finally, end of the class

I am so happy when MIss Zu teach us because she had gave me a lot of the experience base on how she talk, how she impress herself, her confidence level when talk with people.

Actually, before this, I am not really like to have a group assignment but in Bel 260, it taught me on how to be a cooperation with others.

Miss Zu always choose for the groups member without asks us to choose by ourself.

I think that was a great because when we had an assignment which is they are not really people that we know well, at least we can add some experience and we can change our opinion.

Thank you Allah because we had Miss Zu to as our lecturer for bel 260.

Thank u Miss Zu for all the lesson and I want to say sorry if I had done wrong to you.

You are very kind lecturer ever and your concern.

Today, Miss Zu was return our listening and midterm test paper. Alhamdulillah. Even my marks are not the highest one, but I'm so thankful for that marks.
 After Miss Zu give our test paper, she ask someone to photocopy a past semester exam paper to discuss it on Friday, 22nd March 2013.

Assalamulaikum people!!
 Miss Zu taught us about author purpose and tone.
 There are many purposes for an author’s writing such as they want to inform, to perform a task, to sell, to inspire, to correct a misunderstanding, to show differing point of view, to review a film and last but not least to review a book.
By knowing the author purpose, you will prepare your mind for the type of information in the reading; make the article easier to summarize and to make it easier for you to discriminate between the article’s main idea and important details. For tone the writer’s use of words and writing styles to demonstrate his or her stand towards the issue. There are a few example of tone such us indignant, evasive, incredulous, optimistic, pessimistic, mocking, malicious, compassionate, cynical and bitter.

Assalamualaikum and hello people!!

Essay day!!

Today, we have to present an essay from each group.

During the presentation, Miss Zu has given each a comment on how they write the essay. Every group has their own mistake, so that Miss Zu had told us to rewrite the essay by correcting the error.

for my group, it doesn't have many problem in it because we followed all the requirement and the example essay that Miss Zu gave to us.

Overall for each group, there are many mistake wuth the body paragraph. The body paragrah must have a topic sentence and controlling idea; at least 3 supporting details; at least 1 example and last but not least a conclusion. After finish correcting the error we must print the essay and give the essay to the rest of the class.

Essay day!! AGAIN.

But for today, we had learn on how to do a conclusion.

 Drawing conclusions is a form of critical thinking. It is relating what you see, hear and read to what you already know. When draw a conclusion, you use all the facts that you can find in the passage to help you deduce or figure out what you do not know. There are some expressions that point to a conclusion such as thus, it is believed that, in fact/because of this, it follows that, it concludes that, as a result, therefore, we can deduce that, points to the fact that, and lust but not least prove that.

What a beautiful FRIDAY!

Today, I will make a presentation with my group members which is my beloved friends, seha and farahin.

Alhamdulillah. Everythings gonna be fine.

After finish present, we had prepared a game for class. The game was likely a musical chair, but for this game they will play a song and after the song is stop for a while, one person will be chosen to answer the question on the notepad. The two groups got the same mark, then I ask for a representative for each group to write a sentence about what they have presented. So, group Syaz won for the game.

It seems like they enjoy with the game.

for the other group is Haziq and Adli.

For today Miss Zu had taught us about inference and prediction.
 Inference are often referred to as what you “read between the lines.” Inferences are what the author implies or suggests. The author wants the reader to make the jump to the same conclusion the author has made. Prediction is the use of one’s knowledge about language and the context in which it occurs to expert what it occurs to expert what is coming next in writing, movie, speech and etc.

Miss Zu had shown us a video about drug abuse.
On this video it shows about the effect of taking drug.
 After finish watch the video, Miss Zu has given us a group to do writing about drug abuse. She asks us to find a topic for our essay. My group members are Aisyah, Fatin, Hasyima, Adli  The topic we have chosen is about the factor of taking overdose drugs. The one who will write introduction is me; Fatin, Adli and Aisyah  write the body paragraph, and Hasyima will write the conclusion.we must present this essay on Monday, 11th March 2013.

Assalamualaikum people!!

Today, we have a listening test!! I was like shaking.
                    I hope that I will get a good mark for my listening test. This test is quite hard but alhamdulillah. I can do it like a practise listening tets.
After finish the listening test, Miss Zu has chosen a group to show the way of speaking test will be. The group that Miss Zu has chosen is Aizureen. After they have done the practice, Miss Zu has given the mark base on what they have done earlier. Miss Zu has prepare the time and day that we will do our listening test. My group will do the speaking test on Friday at 8.30a.m until 9.00a.m.

For today my group have done the speaking test. During the test, I can eloborate all the point but I do not know how the mark will be given from Miss Zu.

During task B, we are arguing and have a great discussion.

               We have seen agaian!
                Today is the first class after our Chinese New Year breaks.
For today we had done the practice for listening test. During the listening, I have to focus on what the audio and answer tha question correctly. Sometimes I do not know what they are talking. But I forced myself to hear what they are talking about.
It's like the question are little bit tricky, but alhamdulillah. I can answer all the question.
Maybe I need more practice to get good mark.

Assalamualaikum people.

                Today Miss Zu was taught us about the speaking test.
 Miss Zu had taught us about the word that we need to use during the speaking test. She also taught us about what we need to do during the speaking test. During the speaking test we will have two parts. For part A, all candidates will talk about their own point that has been given to them.
 For part B, the supporting detail that they have talk during part A will be used in part B.
In between them, they will argue about the point they have talk about. She also has told us the how she will give us mark.

MONDAY, 4 FEBRUARY 2013

today, miss zu asks us to do a pre-test of BEL 260 to get ready for mid term test this friday.

Miss gave the past year question and she explained to us how to answer those questions.

 after that, she separated us into 5 groups and I was grouped with Azreen, Asmidah, Rahman and Adli. We were asked to answer about non-linear text. I am the 1st writer. 3 minutes were given to discuss among the members and 6 minutes for each other to answer that question. 

after we finished that tasks, Has and Tiqa continued their previous presentation. They made a game that is 'rebut kerusi' and who didn't get the chair have to answer a question that they gave.

 It was very fun and best activity that we have today.

when entered class, Miss Zu gave back the pre test midterm paper that we have done yesterday. My group just got 6.25 over 10. rahman's part was very good because Miss zu comment he is the best writer in our group.

After giving back the paper , Miss Zu wanted us to do the non-linear text question individually so that we can know our level. I hope that we can make it on this Friday. insyaAllah.

this is the day! I came late to class today. what a bad day! I don't know why  I can came late today and there are so many students who were came late.

 when I entered to class, I saw miss zu was very angry. I can saw from her face. I say sorry to her but then, she said 

" yes. you are late!"

 oucchhh. Me was so surprises. 

I think she had angry with me but after that, she calm down and she teach as usual.

today, we had to present the task of non-linear text.

there are a lot of things that she comment on my group presentation. 

she said that my group  sentence structure is not really good. so that, we have to re-check again and do the correction. thank you miss zu for the comment.

today we are just watching taken movie in class. what a relaxing. how wonderful day if everyday we are just watching a movie. haha. 
but we are not just watching this movie. we also had to do an introduction essay for this movie. when we watching, we had to find what is the main for this movie and do essay. 
we had to do introduction essay about HUMAN TRAFFICKING. do you know what is the human trafficking? I will share that introduction for the next entry.

Today our class study about fact and opinion.Fact is statement that is true and have a proven to prove that the statement is true. We cannot change the fact.While the opinion is statement that cannot be proven whether it is true or false. Opinion is statement from someone’s feeling, ideas on some subject.Here we go! Game!!After miss zu explained about the facts and opinion, she told us to make a group.We have to sale a thing that are in the box. After that, we have to make a sentence from that thing whether it is opinion or fact. So that, other groups have to guess how many opinion and facts that have in our statement.That’s all.

Great day huhh? Yupp. Today, our class were doing a sing and act.Miss zu give us a topic from the newspaper. We have to make a scene and we must act and sing.My group have to made a scene about plastic bag.We know that plastic bag can give bad impact to our country because it is so hard for us to cramp that but there is some benefit of plastic bag.So, we make a scene in the beach.It was so fun. I can’t imagine how to sing and act at the same time but Alhamdulillah our group do the best for this activity.What I get from this activity?Ahha. I think this activity can improve ourself confidence in front of the others when we act about something. It is also improve our language.That’s all for today.

Alright. Let’s we proceed and flash back what are JCS1132C are doing during this Monday in bel class 260.

Today, we were doing a debate. Weehooo. I had never expect that I can do the best for this debate because I had never participate in debate especially in English.

Our group topic is about “Is it consider cheating when your partner (girlfriend /boyfriend / husband / wife) was cheating on other beautiful girls / boys / men / women on Facebook (poking, liking, etc.)?” 

Actually, during this debate, we can improve ourself confidence when we talk about something and when we are giving our opinion on issue that we want to talk to.

Today, all of us study about non-linear to linear text writing.

Question 1 is about an interpretation of information presented graphically.

Format of writing task 1 are

-organize

 -present

-possibly compare

-describe stages of a procedure or process

 -describe on object or event or series of events

 For the next general points, you must respond appropriately in term of

=register (formality and politeness)

=organization (clear and logic)

=style (use tentative expressions such as ‘this appears to be…’ ‘This is probably due to…’)

=content (relevant and complete).

 There are a few tips on how to do task 1 :

spend 5 minutes reading the graphs/charts etc.,

1.   make sure you understand axes

2.   make sure you follow lines on graph

3.   focus on the key information (if two graphs you must compare it, think about the time period for the tenses)

4.   vary your vocabulary, organize information clearly and write neatly.

Heyy. You know what? I’m very excited when Friday is coming because this is the last day of weekday? Haha nahhh just because today is a grammar day!!!

Today is a turn group Aizureen and Farhah present a grammar thing.

 They present about pronouns.

Pronouns are a word that substitutes for a noun. There are a few types of pronouns which are

 -nominative pronouns

-possessive pronouns

-reflexive pronouns

-demonstrative pronouns

-objective pronouns

For the next group that present for today is Aiman and Rahman. They are present about preposition, conjunction and article. Preposition is used to link nouns, pronouns, and phrases. There are two types of preposition

-preposition of time

-preposition of direction.

 Conjunction is used to link words, phrases and clauses. There are two types of conjunction

-coordinating (is a single connection)

-correlative (pairs of conjunction)

 Article is used before nouns that introduce something.

Assalamualaikum people. Hey hooo.

This is a new day after we had a mid-sem break. I am very excited when attend to her class.

Ahha. That’s it! You know what? Miss Zu asks us to acting and do the role play of one of the P. Ramlee scene. The funny one!

She divide us into a group. My group members are me, Asmida, Amira, Adli and Aiman.

We choose the movie from “ Pendekar Bujang Lapok “. The scene was from the “ learning of chanting thing “.

Did you remember which one part of the chanting thing? Ahha. I will show you the scene of that movie.

Did you get it? Yaaaa. Good! Thumbs up! Hahaha.

After we were finished acting, Miss asks us to vote who is the best actor, actress and the best group.

The winner were Fiday as the best actor, Faseha as the best actress and the best group was group 5; which is fiday’s group.

What I had learn today is, we have to be more confident when we talk and act in front of the people. If we do not have a high confident level, the things that we want to say to others are totally fail. So, we must practise everyday and talk with the others in English language.

She explained about contextual clues, reference words and how to find main idea in essay. Today we learned about Distinguishing main ideas and supporting details. In general, before trying to understand any reading passage, you must first understand the topic of the passage. A topic is the subject of a whole passage. In a reading passage, you may encounter topic sentences, which refer to the main ideas of the paragraphs. If the main idea is not explicitly stated, you will have to decide what writer wants you to know about the paragraph. This is identifying the implied main idea of the paragraph. Supporting details, on the other hand, are sentences that support or further explain the main idea. Usually, you will find two or three sentences that help to explain, support, illustrate or describe the main idea in the paragraph.
